I want to know....

There's the sound of a PINpoint being used, and then a tall blond in red turtleneck and blue pants walks over to drop into a convenient Nexus armchair. Her blue eyes calmly take in the activity around her for a moment, then she raises one eyebrow and settles back.
"If one is made from a piece of another and if that one has some of the original's memories, is the one who was made the original, or the original's offspring?"
You are feeling:
Laserbeak flies down and lands lightly on the arm of her chair. "Um... I suppose that depends what you mean by 'offspring'."
She blinks at the tiny mech, then offers him a slight smile. "The immediate descendant of a person."
"Then... I suppose that sounds closer. I don't think it makes you the same person if you only have a part of them and a few memories."
She nods thoughtfully, then offers him a hand. "My name's Oriana."
Unsure how to respond to the gesture, he dips his wings and nods. "Nice to meet you. My name's Laserbeak."
She lets the hand rest next to him. "Offspring, then. That does make more sense, I guess."
"I suppose it could get confusing if you remembered being someone else."
"Well you can;t be the original because there already was an original, but I'm not sure offspring would be the right term either."
"Yet part of her spark is preserved in me." She looks up at him, bemusedly reflecting that she's smaller than Bumblebee.
"That... can depend greatly on the situation."
"How so?" she tilts her head slightly.
"I was created using the brain and some tissues of a deceased human. Though I ... consider myself to be him. Just... very different."
Her brows raise slightly with surprise as she scans him. "An alternate, of sorts?"
Then she points to the chair across from her. "Will you sit, Mr...?"
"More of... a reconstructed person." He glances at the chair. "Its... usually easier to stand." He nods to her and gives a faint smile. "Murphy. Alex Murphy."
"I'm Oriana. Reconstructed.... The same but different." She looks at her hands thoughtfully. "You have more of your original than I do."
"Does it nessecarily matter? You are a person." His head tilts to the side some.
"I... guess you'd count as offspring?" Ata answers uncertainly.
"The immediate descendant of a person," Oriana quotes the dictionary definition, frowning slightly as she thinks it over.

*Auspex is wandering by. She pauses, as she senses the presence of one of Primus's children, and turns to see if it's someone she knows. And stops.
There is... no one there. No one Cybertronian.
There is, however, a human. And... she's reading her as clearly as a Transformer. This - she would normally note that this is impossible, but this is
the Nexus. She's encountered LOLed Transformers before, but as long as they were organic, she had no sense of them. This... is very strange.
*She approaches the - human? - somewhat hesitantly, as she hears her question. What the concept suggests...*
I take it... you are asking about yourself? What do you know of this... original? I am a servant of the Cybertronian god, Primus, and you are... strange to me; but perhaps you know why.
Oriana looks up, her eyes widening slightly as her throat chokes up slightly at mention of the being who had chosen her original to lead her people so long ago.
Then she swallows and squares her jaw. "Yes. It is myself that I speak of. And her name was Optimus Prima. She died after fighting Megatron and passing the Autobot Matrix of leadership on to her friend Ultra-Magnus."
*Auspex's optics flicker. Optimus Prime, as a female? Well... again, this is the Nexus. Some dimensions apparently run in more radical parallels than others*
Then... *Auspex muses slowly, aloud* you were created from a fragment of her spark? I've heard of such things, and generally, the beings created are considered offspring. But... why, and how, have you taken a human form, yet retain your Cybertronian nature? That is something I have never encountered...
Oriana nods, accepting this in silence, then looks troubled as she replies, "I didn't choose the form. It seems to have been Teletraan's choice for me."
*Auspex thinks to add another point* While spark fragments are generally offspring, I haven't heard of one that retains the memories of the original. You seem to be unique, in that regard. Perhaps, you are something like... a reformatting of the original. That would create a new individual, but one that will remember their previous form.
*she blinks* Teletraan? A computer? How...? *she sighs softly* Perhaps you should tell me how you became a fragment, in the first place...
"That... I don't know. My own earliest memories are of protecting Teletraan's programs from intruders and glitches. I knew that I had some of Optimus Prima's memories, but I never paid much attention to them except for the times when I went over lines of code that involved some of the mechs in them. I never realized that I had a spark till Teletraan sent me here, and Kigan told me so."
*more blinking* Then... having a physical body at all is relatively new to you? Were you given any explanation why you were sent here?
