"'Earth grown Transformers?'" Bee wanders over with a sleepy Honey stuck to her back. "Not that I know of."
"Er, yeah, that's what I'm callin' them. They're made from human stuff because a bunch of humans wanted to try the Allspark out on," he said. "I... didn't make a good first impression."
"Ohhh. So some of them survived in your reality." Her optics widen slightly.
Then she lifts a browplate. "What do you mean?"
"I think I offended them somehow. The female scooter was really unhappy with me," he said, grinning helplessly and rubbing the back of his neck. "And... yeah. There's a whole bunch of them. A particularly sturdy and simple little one gave me this," he patted his bashed in crutch.
"Hmm, do you call yourself a truck?" She tilts her head. Most mechs didn't like to be identified as their alts. Even Endeavour tended to go with 'shuttle-former', though she was more lenient than most.
"No. Of course not. But she wouldn't tell me her name," he said sheepishly. "All I know about her is she's fond of a short white one who doesn't like me at all."
Bee blinks, then narrows her optics slightly in a non-mean way. "Did you make a pass at her?"
"I... might have? Unintentionally," he looked distressed. "And in complete ignorance of them being together. I was only half functioning, after all, and she was pretty!"
This is Bee doing a facepalm.
"Well, anyway, I haven't said anything else. And I told the girl that I was sorry," he looked at his feet helplessly.
"It just really saves a lot of hard feelings if you wait to flirt till you know somebody a little bit, you know," she says dryly.
Honey wakes up and beeps quizzically, then looks up at the big purple guy and blinks. "Bbbb."
"I hadn't seen any other Cybertronians in thousands of cycles, and I was dizzy and processor-shot," he said, sounding distressed. Then he blinked at the small one. "Oh... a sparkling
, I haven't seen one since... well, since I left Cybertron. Hello there, sweetheart."
Honey giggles, then blinks sleepily and lays her head against Bee's back.
Bee looks back at her daughter, then to the big guy. "You had ones that acted like her?"
"I never knew many," he said, then blinked. "Or maybe I did. It was all so long ago...."
"Yeah." She sighs. "I spent more of my life on the Ark
than I ever did on Cybertron."
"I spent some time on the home planet, but as soon as the war began to brew Prime sent me out. I never went back."
Bee tilts her head. "How old are you?"
"Too old," he sighed. Then half a smirk. "That's not a polite question."
"Only if you're human, or bonded to a femme less than an eighth your age," she retorts cheekily.
"Interesting criteria," he chuckled. "Well, I'm old and out of date. I suppose that's why Prime wants me to stay on Earth."
That makes her frown. "Where I come from we're all on Earth."
"Huh. No, Arcee retrieved the Allspark and returned it to Prime, to whoo it and the rest of the troops to Cybertron to rebuild. Arcee was stationed on Earth to help with the Autobot City the humans want to build for all the Earthbots, and I got stuck there when I crash landed," he said.

"So where's Sam and Mikaela in all that?" She frowns.
"Er... Sam?" he blinked. "Oh, the human child? He hangs out at the base, but not often. He and his partner spend most of their time at the memorial when they're there, though."
