A holo sign pops up behind a certain someone's head.
This from a living doll who's all of five inches tall, and currently wearing the finger tip of a rubber glove on her head.
Cubia blinks, then crouches down to lower all twenty-one inches (yes, he's that small!) of himself to the little doll's level.
"You're little too," he says with a gentle smile, not trying to be insulting at all. He's too nice to be insulting.
And she promptly hunkers down too, pulling the glove up away from her face so that she can see him more clearly. I'M AS BIG AS ME.
"Well, of course you are. If you were as big as someone else, you wouldn't be you."
Cubia reaches out to pick her up, radiating an air of 'ooh can I can I please?' as he does so.
She looks at the hand, then sits on it and swings her feet.
OR I'D BE LOL'D. BUT I THINK I'M IMMUNE TO THEM.
Yay! Cubia has a cute little doll sitting on his hand. :D
"Miss Lily told me about LOLs. They sound weird."
THEY ARE! UM.... Head tilty. WHAT WAS YOUR QUESTION AGAIN? I WASN'T LISTENING.
Cubia giggles a little. "I was wondering how to counteract boredom when my owner's off on a mission."
OH! I KNOW! COME HERE AND PLAY!
"Well..." Cubia looks a little uncertain. "Miss Lily told me to only come here if it was a real emergency, but I don't think she'd want me trying to rearrange her room out of boredom either, so..."
Hmmm. Now he's thinking about whether he really should have come or not.
OH She lowers her head and thinks, absently pulling the rubber over her face again. Then she gives a little bounce. I'LL FIND YOU A GAME TO PLAY!
THERE'S THIS ONE THAT THE TRANSFORMERS PLAY... IT'S TOO BORING FOR ME, BUT IT'S ALL FULL OF MAZES AND PUZZLES AND THINGS TO FIGURE OUT. I FOUND A VERSION THAT PEOPLE OTHER THAN THEM CAN SEE. DO YOU THINK YOU'D LIKE THAT?
Interested Cubia is interested.
"Can I see it? I think I could tell if I'd like it if I could see it."
GIVE ME A MINUTE. She jumps down and runs away, still with the rubber glove finger over her head.
Cubia giggles; he can't help it.
And here she comes back several minutes later, with a data stick in her arms. Her 'helmet' is rolled up now, and looks like nothing so much as a tiny toque. Needless to say, it clashes rather badly with her tinfoil armor and boots.
I FOUND IT!
Cubia is intrigued, and reaches out for the data stick.
She hands it over quite happily, but needless to say, she hasn't brought anything to play it with.
Hence Cubia starts trying to find any input ports on his body shell that might fit the plug. That's really an odd-shaped adapter.
But if he brings the the plug near to a port, he'll see that it reconfigures itself. Strawbaby notices this too, and stands on her toes to gawk.
Cubia plugs it into the port on the underside of his wrist, then, and starts scanning the contents, looking interested.
The files are very complex, but promise a game that is low on grahics and very high on making you think and reason, and generally have a very non boring time working toward the goal.
Cubia retains enough brainpower to thank Strawbaby profusely, then sets about playing the game happily. :D
And Strawbaby runs off to crawl into a vending machine and get stuck :D
